"Good" she said with a little grin gazing up into his eyes. They were so blue the matched the ocean almost perfectly. She took a deep breath knowing that they couldn't avoid it forever.
"About last night..." her words trailed off as she found herself looking away from those eyes and into the sea, "I may have been really drunk but I meant what I said. I may never be comfortable with you having a picture of another girl next to your bed...." she shrugged a little remember the surge of feelings she had felt last night.
"I know I can't replace her and I don't want to. But maybe I can be something new, not better, but different" Stella rambled on shifting uncomfortably under his gaze.

He never broke off his gaze with her. It must've been difficult to overcome that he was still having a place in his heart for some other girl, and she was still here, with him. He ached for her. She didn't have to deal with this, she could just walk away and never tread these waters again, but she was still here.
Still here... He was one heck of a lucky guy.
"I don't expect you to be like her. At all." He lifted her chin so that she could see that there wasn't a hint of lie in his eyes when he said those words. He wanted to put it across to her so badly. "And even though I said the worst hurt I would ever do to her is to forget her, it doesn't mean that there's no space for you." He released her chin, but still held on to her gaze. "I don't think any one can ever forget their first love. Nobody can." He rubbed her back comfortingly. "And if it makes you feel better I'll remove her picture from there. I'm willing to do that, if you'll just ask."

His gaze was so intense and sincere she couldn't help but believe every word he was saying.
"I'm not going to ask you to do that, you leave that picture right where it is until you are ready to move it. That's your decision, not mine" she said looking back into his eyes wanting to show him the honesty and caring that she hoped was there.
"As for my first love I wish I could forget all about him... trust me when I say I definitly don't love him any more" Stella whispered softly, "he made me close my heart to those sorts of feelings for a very long time..."

He rubbed her back at the mention of her first love. He must've hurt her a lot for her to shut herself from love for a long time, and Rayden wished he could take the hurt away.
He couldn't even say sorry, cos it wouldn't do any good. He simply placed his arms around her, embracing her softly and gently, kissing the top of her head tasting slightly salty from the seawater.
"It is my hope to open you up again and fill you up with so much that he would be nothing but a tiny spot in your memory." He rested his chin on her head, closing his eyes relishing the intimacy between them.

She felt like a tiny little girl all wrapped up in his arms like that. His words were soothing and the sweet kiss on her head made her tingle all over.
"It may take awhile to complete that task... but you're doing damn good so far" she whispered to him hanging onto him tight and never wanting to let him go.

"How do you know I haven't kicked his ass all ready?" she said with a grin looking up at him from her place in his arms.
"Come on, I'm hungry all I've had to eat today was that cake" she took his hand and started to wade through the water back towards the beach with him giving him a playful look, "and you're always hungry"
"Let's grab a hot dog or something" She splashed him a little as they got to shallower water her eyes starting to sparkle again.

"You probably have..." He laughed at the mental picture of her kicking some faceless jerk in the ass. "But I imagine that him kicking himself would be even more entertaining to watch."
He let her lead him towars the, laughing again when she splashed him. He scooped some water from the beach and splashed her butt then drew her into his arms so that she couldn't retaliate.
"I'm less hungry around you." He smirked at her. "Normally I would be fully-blown ravenous by now but I'm just slightly hungry. I wonder why?"

"Don't think your off the hook for that splash" she said giving him a little squeeze as she nuzzled his chest a little.
"Must have been my chocolate cake that did the trick. Don't you even start thinking that I'm going to cook you one everyday, boyfriend" she said playfully as she snuck her hands around and suddenly started tickling him trying to push him down towards the waves crashing softly on the shore.

He yelped and jump twisting away from her then grabbed her hands above her head.
"You don't truly understand the extent of my appetite, girlfriend. You're talking about a man who eats half the cafeteria food supply on a normal day."

He called her his girlfriend again. Hyne how she loved that feeling. It was amazing how almost a week ago she would have hated it. But it seemed around this boy anything was possible. And now he was holding her hands above her head in an oh so delicious position.
"Aaaawww well I guess it must be my presence filling you up. Your too full of Stella to want to eat" she said giggling to herself at the lame line, oh hell at least it was cute.
"Just imagine all the money you'll save by not spending it on food if you stick with me, Ray ray" she said playfully kicking some water at him.

"Sounds good, but nothing too fancy" she said squirming out of his grip and sticking her tongue out at him. Grinning over her shoulder at him she headed for their beach mat and her clothes. She flopped down on it and stretched out her legs looking up at him. Hyne he was gorgeous.
"So out of all the girls you could have asked to the ball that would have said yes... why did you chose me when you must have guessed I would say no?" she asked basking in the sun and letting some of the water dry off of her.
"Was it because I kissed you?" Stella continued reaching for one of the towels they had brought and drying off her hair carefully.

He trudged after her shaking water out of his hair, catching the eye of Stella who had turned to look at him over the shoulder. He sank down beside her on the beach mat towelling himself dry, pausing at her question.
"Well yeah..." He said, nodding his head. "You intrigued me. I hadn't met a girl who would willingly kiss a guy they just knew, and in the middle of a mission too." He smirked. "Do you have any idea how special you are?"

"Well I can't really say I'm sorry about it... since it led us to this" she said with a little grin as she stood and slid her jeans on over her bikini bottoms.
"Do you have any idea how special you are?" he said making her heart fall down to her stomach. It was so difficult for her just to accept a compliment like that, not after all she had been through with Sar and well everything.
"Yeah special in the head like insane" she joked lamely, "how else do you explain me waking you up at 3 in the morning to cry all over you" she rolled her eyes and snickered as she dusted some sand off her tank top before pulling it on over her head.
