Gone fired up the engine, he loved the sound of it. He grinned, in a maniacal sort of way. “Take a seat, folks. I’m starting us on our way. Talk while we fly.”
He fired the thrusters and had her up and heading towards Esthar in no time, with no probs. Gone could still hear them yapping away in the back, arguing and yammering about the plan for the next phase of the mission. Blah blah blah… Why couldn’t they agree? If one side was the wrong at least the others would be able to say ‘I told you so!’ and rub it in their faces.
When Gone heard the snake voiced guy start to talk, he had to shut it out. He had nothing against the guy, just his voice. It weirded him out. He was probably the spy, bad guys always had creepy voices. So Gone did the one thing that always worked in the past, he sang, not great but not horrible just good.
He sang… … … ‘Too Sexy.’
With the broken door permanently opened…

Jun looked at her teammates with a dazed expression, turning her head to and fro as if watching a tennis match as they bickered about the best plan to sneak into Esthar.
She had been silent for the whole of five, no, ten minutes, for she knew she had nothing useful to contribute anyway.
A few minutes later, they still had not resolved their differences. No one could come up with a plan that satisfied everyone.
Hyne... if someone offered to put a gun into my mouth to stop the noise, I'd do it.
And as if the torture inflicted on her ears was not enough, a strange warbling had wafted from the direction where the cockpit was. It sounded remarkably like Gone.
A gun would be nice... yeah
More bickering, this time by Stardust, she faintly registered the voice in her mind.
She couldn't keep her mouth shut any longer. "People, if you can't decide on a mutual plan, take a friggin' vote already!"
{You never learn, do you?}

"Alright, Reese, Stardust, since no one else seems to like your little 'imaginary elevator' plan, you're outnumbered." Zacke said in a commanding tone. Oh yeah, power...
He looked over his shoulder, to Gone at the pilot's seat, who was seeing 'Too Sexy'. What the... he shook his head, grinning in amusement at the insanity of the situation. Here they were all having a nice arguement over how to go about risking their lives, and Gone is singing about how sexy he is. "Hey, Gone, land the ship on the southern side of the Great Salt Lake okay?"
He turned his head back around. "Alright then, Rika, utilize those spells you mentioned. I have a few Death, that should bring them down silently. Anyone else with useful magic?"
"Do I have to spell it out for you?!" Reese yelled. "This. Is. Insane. How can you think sneaking into the biggest, most secure city in the world dressed as soldiers is going to work?! They're going to know somethings not right the minute they find an Estharian soldier dead! There may be a lot of soldiers but that doesn't mean each and every one isn't accounted for!!" he slammed his fist into the side of the wall, then knelt down, holding his head. He abruptly stood up. starting at Zacke.
"I won't let you call this death sentence on everyone here! You're not the leader, you don't call the shots! This elevator isn't a rumor, I saw it! But it's like every time I have some information about something, or an intelligent suggestion, everyone wants to point fingers and talk about trust! The Mavericks were real. The elevator is real. If you want to act like a fool and get yourself killed, by all means, do it. But I won't stick around to watch it happen."
He turned to address them all. "At the Great Salt Lake, we part. I used that elevator in the Mavericks and I'm using it now. It's far less risky and we have a better chance of getting into the city underdected. Those who wish to come with, may." he turned to Zacke. "Go ahead, get yourself killed. I'll be sure to whisper a prayer when they report your death on Estharian news." he said bitterly.

Stardust gave a light pound at the cockpit's partition, hoping for the idiotic pilot to shut up. Gone sounded possessed to her. Soon thereafter, Zacke stepped in, motioned his earlier plan, and started ordering everyone around. She was about to slap 'reality check' to him when Reese countered and proposed to split up in Salt Lake.
Stardust glanced at the SeeDs inside the airship. She wondered how many of them would actually go find the elevator rather than bust some Estharian soldiers. Seeing the reactions in their faces, she knew it wouldn't be that many.
"Go ahead, get yourself killed. I'll be sure to whisper a prayer when they report your death on Estharian news." Reese said to Zacke.
"So, who's going with this guy?" she asked the group, referring to Zacke. "We are not going to waste anytime finding this elevator if we were to search for it by our numbers. You had your training regarding Ambush situations. Any elite SeeDs know how counteract," she added her last attempt to convince the others.
"I'm going with Amaerick. Taking out Estharian soldiers is utterly dumb," She eyed Zacke. "...and reckless."

"Anyone else with useful magic?" Dan heard Reese say. I suppose I can use my blue magic, he thought.
"I have a quantity of blue magic," Dan said, as he eyed Reese suspiciously.

Blaze twitched uncomfortably as she listened to Gone sing 'i'm too sexy.' She grit her teeth and squeezed the armrests of her chair so hard that her knuckles turned white. Resisting the urge to do physical damage, she turned her attention to the ongoing arguments.
But I won't stick around to watch it happen." Reese yelled at Zacke. Blaze sat silently, sucking in every bit of what was going on around her, more of what she saw than what she heard.
Perception was her main skill and she had put it to good use, noticing the way Tomoe eye's had met hers during Reese's defense. She had noticed the quick connection of glares between Wolfe and Reese, not to mention the look on Stardust's face when Reese had said "Thank you."
"I'm going with Amaerick. Taking out Estharian soldiers is utterly dumb," Stardust said as she eyed Zacke, "...and reckless."
"Which is exactly why I'm choosing to do it." Blaze suddenly spoke. She turned to Reese, the usual glare on her face and spoke to him for the first time. "You really expect all of us to trust you on this elevator plan just because you know it's there and you've used it before? How do we know that the other side of the elevator isn't swarming with guards? Because the last time I checked, Reese, secret entrances to the inside of cities.. in the Presidential Palace to be exact, are usually protected. So while Zacke's plan is complete jack, your plan is foulproof, because 'it's secret?' I'm sure that by now, Estharian troops have found it and are just WAITING for people to infiltrate so that they can arrest us."
Blaze stopped for breath, and continued to talk. "Now you could argue that you and Stardust could go take the elevator and come back to tell us that the coast is clear, but how would we know that you're telling the truth? What I'm saying is that I'm not going to trust anything you or Stardust says. I'm not going to trust the outcome over the elevator unless I see the other side with my own eyes. And don't even think of taking me in there instead of Stardust, because I won't. No one will except her because we all know that elevator plan is a load of bull."

Reese grit his teeth as Blaze practically shouted at him.
"No one will except her because we all know that elevator plan is a load of bull." she finished.
If there was one person climbing to the top of Reese's Hate List faster than anyone else, it was Blaze Sanaku.
"Look," he spat, using every ounce of toleration and self-control in himself not to launch himself at her and strangle her. "The elevator doesn't go straight into the Presidential Palace, darling, it takes you to the street in front of the Presidential Palace. Which still doesn't do us any good since soldiers will be stationed right outside the Palace, but I bet you didn't know that this isn't an actual elevator, it's more like a lift that gets you from the outside of Esthar, straight to the heart of the city. It runs underground, and there are no walls or doors to keep us in. We could jump off at any time and find another way into the city. Another, less detectable, way."
He nodded his head toward Zacke. "And you want to talk about reckless and foolish?! His plan is twice as risky as mine! Did you hear him?! 'Go in, weapons drawn, tear through rooms until we find the Emerald, leave the city running hell for leather'?! THAT'S GOOD?!?!" he laughed mockingly.
"I'm done arguing with you all." he turned to Stardust. "So I guess it will be only you and I?"
"You're making the wrong decision Stardust." Zacke stated simply, eyeing her.
"And how do we know you're not a spy, Mercutio?" Reese sneered. "Or her," he nodded his head at Blaze. "Or him, he seems to think he knows it all." he nodded his head at Wolfe.

Dan frowned. He didn't like the tone Blaze was using with Reese. I hate her, he thought, she's reaching the top of my sh!t list pretty quickly.
"I'm going with you guys, Reese," Dan said quietly as he walked over to where the man stood.
Colum frowned. If his brother-in-law was going with the new kid, he wouldn't stop him. However, he also knew that going with Reese would mean instant death. Sighing, he walked over to Zacke.
"I trust you, man," he said, "Just...don't fvck up, alright?"
Turning, he waved at Dan. Dan didn't say anything, just stared at a blank spot on the ceiling of the Lady Luck, absentmindedly twisting the ring on his finger for strength.

Gone waved his hand at Zacke without turning around and continued on with his singing. He angled the Lady Luck into a landing vector, he wanted to take her down without having to do a flyby before reaching the desired altitude. Lady Luck was on his side today, he managed to land her without mishap, on the south side of the lake. Gone grinned before shutting her down totally, standing he turned and went out of the cockpit, glancing mournfully at his broken door. Gone walked in as Reese was ranting about an elevator. That sounded fun, elevators were cool machines.
"I'm done arguing with you all." Reese said turning to his Stardust. "So I guess it will be only you and I?"
You're making the wrong decision Stardust." Zacke stated simply, eyeing Stardust.
"And how do we know you're not a spy, Mercutio?" Reese sneered. "Or her," he nodded his head at Blaze. "Or him, he seems to think he knows it all." he nodded his head at Wolfe.
“Count me in. The elevator sounds like good fun. ‘Sides, I can’t abandon my one and only love, Stardust!” Gone said cheerfully, slinging his arm around Stardust’s shoulders and glaring slightly at Reese.
‘You’re a glutton for pain.’ Arianrhod’s cool voice rang.

"I'm opting for the elevator too." Jun said quietly, eyeing the hostile expressions on many faces. "If both plans are risky, then I'd rather choose the one that appears to attract less attention."
Jun didn't like the sound of both plans, something she did not let her GF know.
My gut tells me the elevator plan is riskier...
{But you chose it instead. Do you not trust your gut?} Sapph paused, waiting for a reply that never came.
{I do not like the sound of this.} Sapph pulsed in her mind, his tone forbidding, and full of apprehension.
Me either.

Stardust listened to Blaze’s rants in a manner that clearly expressed deprecation.
Bunch of bull, huh? she thought. We’ll see which plan is rotten.
"I'm done arguing with you all." Reese turned to her. "So I guess it will be only you and I?" And that was exactly what it seemed to her. As she had anticipated, these SeeDs were too foolish to even know the pitfall of what they were doing.
“So be it,” she answered firmly. What was it to her if all of the lowlifes doubted them? She didn't expect them to agree anyway.
“You're making the wrong decision Stardust." Zacke said to her. Was she? As far as she was concern, the only thing that was wrong here was the fact that they were so paranoid about a single elevator. “We’ll see about that,” replied Stardust. She wasn’t about to regret anything.
"And how do we know you're not a spy, Mercutio?" Reese sneered. "Or her." He referred to Blaze. "Or him, he seems to think he knows it all." He turned to Wolfe.
It was then that Dan squeezed in the group and began zoning out afterwards. Stardust just gave him an odd look before glancing outside. She didn’t notice it earlier but it looked like they were already in Great Salt Lake.
Soon thereafter, she felt an arm drape her around her shoulders...again. “Count me in. The elevator sounds like good fun. ‘Sides, I can’t abandon my one and only love, Stardust!” It was none other than Gone. He had joined their party.
/Oh boy, this young man never learns, does he?/
Stardust stomped her boot hard enough to mash Gone’s foot. “Back off,” she said and pushed him back. No bozo would ruin this plan. She turned to face Jun who said, "I'm opting for the elevator too. If both plans are risky, then I'd rather choose the one that appears to attract less attention."
/My, people are joining you. Isn’t that great?/ Diwata cooed and giggled. Some of her teammates had brains afterall.
“This is it.” Stardust announced, touching the glass window of Lady Luck. Outside, the place was murky and barren. She could barely see a thing from inside this airship. She glanced back to the others. "Great Salt Lake."

After the arguing quieted down, Rika cleared her throat and squeezed Kyou's hand gently, before letting go. "I'm with Zacke and the others," she simply said. Rika then took a step back and checked her stock of magic, making sure she had enough of each spell.
I only have 20 Pain and Break... I should refine some more. She removed some Curse Spikes and Cockatrice Pinion from within her Red Dragon skin bag, and began to quickly refine more spells. Her extreme skill with magic was clear, as her hands deftly refined the magic from the enchanted items; before long, she had 100 of each spell.
"Great Salt Lake," Stardust said; Rika felt like casting a Water spell, but kept nervous habit at bay. Such behavior is weakness; there's no room for that here.

Zacke watched Gone drape his arm across Stardust's shoulders. Oh she's gonna--. He let out a laugh as Stardust's foot connected with Gone's.
"Back off!" she said, shoving him away. Zacke chuckled as he made his way over to Gone. He came up next to him.
"You should be glad that's all you got..." he muttered, grinning. "I did the exact same thing and got this." he pointed to his eye, which was now only a faint bruise. "But I guess there's a difference, I was being sarcastic--and you weren't." He clapped a hand on Gone's shoulder, before letting it drop, and turned to face everyone.
"Alright, since the ship's down, we can get off now, everyone. You guys can either come with me, or go with him." he jerked his head toward Reese. "I guess it's all a matter of whether or not you value your life."
"Let's just get this over with." Reese muttered, shotting a glare at Zacke. He pulled his bowler an inch or so lower on his forehead and strode straight for the door.

"I guess it's all a matter of whether or not you value your life."

Twisting her wrist, she followed Reese's lead and headed for the door.

Reese opened the door and stepped out. He heard Stardust's supportive words behind him.
/Better not fvck this up Reesie! They'll probably have you for dinner. Especially that pink-haired one, I bet she really believes your plan will work./ Perish squealed.
Perish if we weren't outside and at risk of being attacked by wild monsters, I'd unjuction your annoying ass in a second. And it will work. he thought bitterly, taking a few steps away from the doorway to let the person behind him out.
He glanced over his shoulder to see if they'd followed suit, but a flash of pink hair the first time made him look a second time. As she stepped out into the cold, he noticed the only thing covering her upper body was a white cotton wife-beater. Hyne, she's going to freeze to death before we get there.
He glanced around and pulled off his black dress jacket to reveal a white t-shirt and loose black tie. He turned to her and extended his arm, handing it to her. "Here. You'll freeze to death." he said quietly.
