'Good riddance, fugly witch.' Rayden smirked at at the pieces of grotesque burning flesh that was once Adel. 'You should've seen it coming.' He waved playfully at the flesh as if bidding it farewell. He looked towards Hadrian. 'Dude it's a pity you didn't record all that down. Imagine the number of hits it'd garner on SeeDTube! And not to forget...' he grinned just as slyly,"the babes throwing themselves at us!"
AHAHA DEO XD Yayyy Ashlehh can post ^.^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sight of Adel dying a painful death was the most beautiful thing Stardust had ever witnessed. She wanted to revel more in the moment when Jun suddenly embraced her, shaking her like a paper. Annoyed, she decided to not say anything. That was probably an appropriate response for this moment. Jun eventually let go of her--which was a good thing.
Stardust's attention was caught by Edendielle's words. She fixed her eyes towards the sister, barely noticing Rinoa's situation. They would grant another wish. Anything at all. The thought made her heart pump faster. Can they bring people back from the dead? The thought was rhetoric.
/Hey, Stardust./ Diwata called.
She invited the thought. These teammates of her had always viewed her as selfish, so why would it make a difference if she did a selfish thing now?
/Earth to Stardust. Earth to Stardust./
Stardust swallowed. I can bring them back to me. She lowered her gaze, thinking.
/Reality check./ The pinkhead wasn't paying attention to the fairy--perhaps didn't.
"I--" Stardust started.
/FOR THE LAST TIME, STARDUST. I don't know if you're listening around you, but Deo is ALREADY making a wish. Give it up, honey. You're in better hands now!/ Diwata huffed. /Ughhh...I hate it when people ignore me./
Frustration crept in Stardust's face as she lifted her head to see Deo speaking to Edendielle. She slapped her forehead.
Damn you....Why didn't you say that earlier?!

SEEDTUBE HAHAHA YOU CHARACTERS ARE KILLING ME XD *dies laughing* ----------------------------------------------
Hadrian turned to Rayden. The cool expression on his face slowly deformed into that of remorse when the guy's words sank into him. "Damn, my camcorder!!"
Edendielle giggles at Deo's naivety. "You amuse me." She lifts a finger and touches his forehead.
"Tis a cruel thing to make you choose between your friends. Very well, I shall decide for you." She caresses his face and becomes silent. A warm gust fills the area and the smell of fresh leaves permeates the air.
"One wish for one life." she repeats. "Through your friends' courage to face the price, I bestow you a new life." Greenish orbs of light start to appear near Vanesse and Jaime, slowly accumulating to take the shape of a human.
"So hold on to it dearly now. For when tis claimed, you will never know."
Edendielle's breathes out, and in a blink of an eye, the humanoid light loses its glow. In replace, a brown-haired young man lays unconscious on the ground, asleep.
"It's....L-Lawric..." Vanesse blurts out, clearly blown away and speechless. He looks the same way as the last time Deo saw him.
"I fancy him than your other friend." Edendielle whispers to Deo. "I hope you do not hate me." She smiles indifferently and winks. "I granted your wish."
---------------- I was going to make Lawric be in his birthday suit too, but nah XD We have enough naked people around LOL

“Regen is all I have,” Polaris replied quietly, unable to look him in the eye, unsure of whether she wanted him to recognize her…or maybe he already did. She knew this man, vaguely—more than vaguely, more than she’d care to admit. It was his eyes reminded her—they weren’t soldier’s eyes. She turned her face away for a moment, watching detachedly as Ediendelle amused herself with the Opps—and finally granted the second wish…and when she couldn’t hold off thinking about Sorceress Rinoa’s condition any longer, she abruptly dropped down to her knees in front of the other woman and fixed the jacket hanging around her frail shoulders.
“Draw,” she said firmly—Rinoa was a Sorceress of unlimited Magical Ability (although, she had heard Blaze scoff often enough, such powers were useless on such a spineless little thing) and had the Magics of the world at her disposal. Polaris found what she was looking for soon enough—she Drew and then re-Cast the healing magic, a soft whisper of, “Curaga,” and Rinoa shimmered with the magic, brown eyes showing fear…but her body would recover. Not sure about her mind, but Polaris couldn’t do much about that, could she.
The jacket was a bit small…Polaris made a sound of impatience at Rinoa’s catatonic state and began tugging it more tightly around her.
The second look he had taken intrigued him even more. He hadn't been imagining things. He quickly turned away, his attention back on Rinoa, but his mind completely elsewhere. That face...
“Regen is all I have,” the girl said quietly. So quietly that he barely heard it. She knelt down next to him, the both of them positioned before Mrs. Leonhart. He kept his eyes pinned on Rinoa, uncomfortably avoiding looking in the familiar girl's direction.
/It's not her, Zacke./ his Guardian's voice echoed firmly.
This time, the girl wasn't speaking quietly. He heard her voice clearly, and he knew it, too. It wasn't a voice he would have so easily forgotten. He watched the Curaga she had drawn from Rinoa work its way back into the Sorceress' system, draining away some of the weariness and pain marring her delicate face.
His thoughts were skipping around distractedly. Hyne... Tomoe... he found himself fighting a constant inner battle to keep from looking at her again.
/Stop being an idiot and focus on what you should be focusing on./ Iris berated him heatedly.
He ignored his Guardian. He couldn't help himself. Just before Polaris finished the spell, he stole another quick glance. Any doubts he would have had before now vanished. At this distance, as close as they knelt right now, there was no way he would mistake the girl next to him. It was Tomoe. His stomach knotted up, too many feelings hitting him all at once.
He rose onto his feet and took a step backward, suddenly very uncomfortable and anxious. He probably wasn't doing a very good job hiding these feelings, either. Because that was just Zacke--he had never been good at hiding his emotions, especially in particularly awkward or vexing situations like this. So, in his absence, had she been reassigned to the mission? Must have. He watched her arrange his jacket about Rinoa's shoulders. He suddenly wanted to say something, but he felt as if he should say nothing at all.
/Now is not the time./
He kept quiet, merely watching from a few feet behind.
She didn't seem to have any kind of reaction to his presence.
Did she actually notice it was me?
Part of him hoped she had, and part of him hoped she hadn't.
It was over. Jax could hardly believe it. Everything --from Adel's mutilated corpse --to the exuberant smiles plastered on everyone's faces-- to a catatonic Sorceress Rinoa being swaddled in a wool jacket like a two year old -- seemed so...surreal...yet it was the reality. That they had just freed the world from Adel...
And then, for some reason, the first thought that came to him was...
It felt strange to be thinking about his parents back in Esthar. Particularly considering the fact that they had never been close...his mother had always been too preoccupied with Gemma. While the fact that Jax had never really lived up to his father's lofty expectations certainly put on "strain" on their relationship...who else was there to blame for him being here...?
So why then, did he have the small, prickling desire to return home?

'Dude it's a pity you didn't record all that down. Imagine the number of hits it'd garner on SeeDTube! And not to forget...the babes throwing themselves at us!"
She had been standing with her back facing them through out their conversation. Try as she might, Gemma could not help but titter a bit at Rayden's last comment. Placing her hands on her hips in mock offense, she snickered, "You do realize that then they would have just realized that us ladies did most of the work."
She suddenly realized how bizzare this was. To be joking and laughing at a time like this. The juxtaposition of this moment with that of Adel's death and her grotesque dismemberment was almost -- humourous. And why not? For she could not recall any other time when she had felt so happy.
Fixed it for ya, Gemma ^.~ ----------------------------------------
Rinoa's hand gently touches Polaris's as her health slowly recovers from the healing spell. Her weak smile brightens.
"Edendielle, just what is the extent of your fickleness?" A colder aura sucks the life out of Edendielle's jovial atmosphere. The last of the sisters finally speaks in an urgent tone. Enveloped in a frozen bluish light, she bears an austere expression. Rhirawen shoots a cold stare at all of you.
"Rejoice all you can for this moment is short." she says, walking beside Suthieal and Edendielle. "Name your final wish. Quickly, for I do not like to wait."
You hear Rinoa grunt as she pulls herself up into a sitting position. "Rhirawhen," she starts, her voice hoarse. "I can feel Adel's powers rest in me the moment they had left her. There's something wrong with it. I don't know if it's me or her powers but...." She gripped her jacket tighter. "Please. I want you to make sure that I will not use this power to hurt anyone, rather, I want you to make sure that I will use it to help and heal the weak."
Rhirawen walks towards her. She looks a bit skeptic.
"Please. That is the final wish," Rinoa weakly mutters. "Make sure."
"A power incapable of hurting but healing?" The blue sister places her hand on Rinoa. I will ask no more. You shall have it."
Rinoa closes her eyes. After that, all of you gets blinded by a strong white light that you thought it has blinded you for good. In the midst of your confusion, you hear Suthieal's voice.
All three wishes hath been granted by the Trinity as foretold.
Tis not free, remember that. Finish our business for us now, will you? Goodluck to all.
Rhirawhen ends in a twisted tone.
They are coming for you.
"At long last, we are free...."
As soon as your vision clears, the three sisters are no more. From the broken wall of the empty tower, a crisp ray of light seeps through. The sunrise welcomes you. The nightmare is over.
Vanesse took off her hands from her eyes. The blinding flash was over together with the deal with the three sisters. All that was left were them and the SeeDs. A thought crossed her mind and she had to kneel to where Lawric was. Jaime and Deo seemed to be doing the same.
"Lawric...." she called, tapping his face. He's sound asleep. She smiled happily. "Lawric! Wake up. Hey!" Lawric was alive. He was back with them. Only him. Just him.
She felt her eyes grow hot once again. Signe and Able.... In the end, they couldn't bring all of them back afterall. They were gone forever. "Wake up already," she said, trying her best to suck it up. She wiped her eyes. She didn't want Lawric seeing any of them crying when he opens his eyes.

Hadrian looked at the scene around him. Sunrise to the right, his teammates gaping at blank space registering the event in their heads, on one corner were Rinoa, the injured one since every great battle needed to have an injured person, and her nurse Polaris.
/Analyzing enemy's life signs in the area....none confirmed. Mission completed./ CQ commended. /You may proceed with your jargon./
Hadrian scratched the side of his forehead and chuckled. What a weird GF you are...You're not even made of metal. He lurked his gaze around. Rayden was on his left, Gemma was behind him. The brother was near them together with Stella. Now who did he want to hug? Rayden?
"Gemmaaa....We did itttt...!" Hadrian blurted out suddenly and squeezed her lithe body. "We were rockin! You saw my GF slice Adel? The cutlery set? Nunchakus?" That was to spite her for her comment earlier. "I even used...er....that..." He tried to point to the airship, but it didn't look like an airship anymore with its exterior ripped off. Hadrian was sure someone would probably have an idea on how to get down from here. Somehow.
"That's us, the guys," he sounded like he was announcing it. He broke his hug on Gemma and comfortably slung his arm around her shoulders. "Doesn't matter Rayden, we'll still make it big on SeeDtube. I'll do a documentary once we get down from here."
------------------------ LOL If this is in OOC, Hadrian could've been killed again. Darn sexist.
Stardust was glaring at Hadrian. He was trying to stir a lighthearted conversation with everyone. Like a bonding kind of thing. Atleast it looked like that to her.
"Jerk..." she mumbled. He was so noisy. Though everything was over, her frustration still hadn't lifted. She decided to slip away from the group a bit since, Hyne knows, a friendship hug was the last thing she would want right now. She heard a metal clink when her boots hit something on the ground. She looked down. It was a pistol.
Her eyes crawled to the owner and noticed Stella sitting on the ground. She and her really didn't talk much, but that also meant that she didn't have problems with her to begin with. Picking her pistols from the ground, she walked over in front of her.
"These yours?" Stardust said, holding them on both hands.
Jaime stood on her spot, transfixed by the events that just appeared before her eyes. The green goddess had granted their wish--Deo's wish to be exact. She had brought back Lawric. She felt guilty, she should mourn that they weren't able to bring back Able and Signe... but they had Lawric back! LAWRIC BACK! LAWRIC BACK! The two words were like a hypnotising mantra, repeating themselves over and over again. And yet she still felt this was unreal, she had to check for herself.
"LAWRIC WAKE UP NOW AND SMELL THE PANCAKES!" She cried in an extraordinary high tone that stretched her vocal chords, but it wasn't something she could control, she was about to overflow with the emotions bubbling inside.
She knelt down on the other side of Lawric's prone body, just across from Vanesse.
"TELL US THIS ISN'T A DREAM!" She exclaimed loudly again, and pinched him very hard on the arm.
Jaime -_- You're supposed to pinch yourself, not the other person. Sorry Lawric ^^;;;
Before he opened his eyes, before could even hear anything, Lawric became vaguely conscious of feeling. There was a warmth against his face... sunlight? He could feel his own chest rising and falling with the breaths his body somehow knew to take. The hard, gravelly surface he lay on was somewhat uncomfortable.
"Wake up already,"
It was as if he were in a deep, almost meditative sleep. He felt suspended. Somehow both heavy and light, all at once. Drifting.
"LAWRIC WAKE UP NOW AND SMELL THE PANCAKES!"
Pancakes... The voices were muffled, some words unintelligible to him. As if he were hearing from under the surface of water. But he knew them. He knew them. The names, he couldn't place. But these girls meant very much to him.
"TELL US THIS ISN'T A DREAM!"
Suddenly he felt a sharp and unexpected pain in his arm. His eyes cracked open for the first time, and he sucked in a breath of air quickly. The lightness he had felt just moments ago left him that instant--he felt an uncomfortable gravity pressing down all around. He became aware of their presence at each side as his eyes adjusted to the light filtering into the area. They were kneeling and looking over him. His vision focused gradually, and his eyes fixed on Vanesse first. Her eyes were filled with tears, but her face was alight with a smile. He recognized her immediately. As if afraid of drifting away, he moved a hand to rest over her one of hers.
He looked over at the other figure. Jaime. She was bubbly as ever, beaming down at him, just radiating joy. Her blonde hair shimmered slightly in the sunlight. He felt his lip twitch into a smile, and slowly pushed himself into a sitting position.
Beyond them, standing nearby, he noticed Deo, who he recognized also. He looked up at the man, who looked highly alert--concerned, almost. It was strange... Deo never wore that expression.
As the initial rush of emotions came to slow a bit, he started to recall not only his friends, but the last moments he remembered with them. He had been captive, and then in one instant, without warning, everything went black. Had he been knocked out? He swallowed and gave a brief glance about their environment. It was totally unfamiliar to him. Some half-destroyed tower structure?
He felt very... strange. Everything should seem right, but somehow he felt foreign. Alien. And not only because he didn't know where they were or what was going on; there was something more to it than that. He felt very calm, but also very unstable, and very heavy. He couldn't put it into words that made sense. It was a whisper in the back of his mind. The smile he had worn only moments ago now faded away.
"Where are we? Are we safe?" he asked them quietly, brushing his feelings aside.
"All three wishes hath been granted by the Trinity as foretold."
Zacke's focus on "Tomoe" and Rinoa shifted when he heard Suthieal's voice again. He peered in the direction of the three ethereal sisters. They seemed to possess a semi-sentient and confined form, but their voices floated on the light breeze and echoed all throughout the room. It gave him the creeps.
"'Tis not free, remember that. Finish our business for us now, will you? Goodluck to all."
His gaze shifted to Ediendelle. Briefly, he wondered, Are they some kind of ancient GF? Guardians had to be drawn from something tangible when first acquired--if not junctioned to a human, their soul would attach itself to physical material. Could it be that these three Sorceresses of the old world had somehow become spiritually bound to the gems and sword, and by uniting everything, they had awakened a new Guardian?
/They are much more than a Guardian, Zacke./ Iris echoed his thoughts quietly.
After another moment of thought, he found that he agreed.
"They are coming for you."
He felt a chill crawl down his spine at Rhirawen's words, thinking back on the wish he'd made earlier. The sisters faded away, leaving one final, haunting whisper as they did so. He didn't catch what they had said.
Light filtered down down through the portion of the tower his crash landing had destroyed. His could see particles of dust floating through the rays of light. A blonde girl, one of the "Opps," apparently, gave an excited shout. Her and a friend knelt before someone on the ground. They were both entirely too jovial, the person on the ground must not be hurt or badly injured...
He glanced around at his teammates.
Blaze stood not far off, her face as emotionless as ever. She was adjusting one of the white bandages she wore wrapped around her wrists. He smirked. We just took down Sorceress Adel, and she acts as if she just got out of a battle with a few scrawny Bite Bugs. As usual, Blaze amused him.
Voices on the western side of the arena brought his attention there. A man with blonde hair, a brunette, and the guy he recognized as the one with the crazy cybernetic GF all seemed to be sharing lighthearted conversation.
He looked away, and this time he found Stardust. She was lifting what looked like a gun from the ground. He watched her approach another unfamiliar woman and hand it out to her. He cocked an eyebrow. Hah, doing something sort of nice for once.
Finally, he gave another glance down at Tomoe. That same feeling of being pulled in two different directions came back to him. He felt a pang of guilt when he tore his eyes away from her and looked about for Jun. When he finally spotted her, he made his way over to her quickly.
"Jun," he approached her. His smile grew as he got closer. Her elation was contagious. He couldn't help himself--when he was close enough, he pulled her into a hug. "Man, am I happy to see you, Jun... " he pulled away, placing his hands on her shoulders. "You really scared the crap out of me back there, by the way." he said it with a laugh, but his eye contact said he was serious.
His smile faded a bit, and he stepped back, his hands returning to his pockets. "I guess I kind of missed a lot?" He flashed an apologetic, almost sad sort of smile. "Sorry about that. I should have come sooner." he glanced at a few of the unfamiliar people around them. He looked back at her. "I guess I have quite a few introductions ahead of me." he remarked.
Jun felt like a victim of a B-grade horror movie who had just escaped the building, and even though the sisters did warn of a price they had to pay for taking the wishes, there was nothing that could take away from the elation she felt, and she could see that she wasn't the only one. The Opps were gathering around a man, who had materialised out of thin air when Ediendelle granted their wish. Rayden, Hadrian and Gemma were apparently indulging in some banter, their faces starkly different from the doomed, almost suicidal expressions everyone had before the sisters had appeared.
Whatever was coming, it could wait.
"Jun," Someone called . She turned at the voice, saw Zacke approaching her, his bright smile mirroring her own. When he was close enough, he pulled her into a hug. "Man, am I happy to see you, Jun... " he pulled away, placing his hands on her shoulders. "You really scared the crap out of me back there, by the way." he said it with a laugh, but she could see he was serious about it.
"Sorry." She stuck out her tongue a little. "And thanks for saving my ass. I know it was reckless, but everyone has stupid moments now and then." She shook her head, affecting a mocking laugh at herself. "And you know, missing a lot is kind of an understatement. But it doesn't matter! You came at the perfect time, or else we might be carcasses littering all over the floor without those hi-potions and remedies." She maintained her grin, before turning to look at the rest of her teammates.
"Hey you guys! Come over and introduce yourselves to Mr. Gate-crasher here!" She waved at them, ushering Zacke forward with a hand around his shoulder. "That includes you too, new guy." She looked towards Lawric's direction. "When you're all done with you reunion that is."
