Creating your charrie

SPILL IT!!!!!!!!!!! I think we did one of these before but that was a longggggg time ago. I plan to bring back many threads from the dead here for our character extras thread >)

SO! Why did you create your charrie the way you did? How did you pick his/her model? Is there any significance to parts of their bio (like their personality/history/weapon etc.) or did you just completely write it out of thin air? OH and how did you come up with their name? Cuz names are the coolest part XD

Blaze
Well Blaze was my very first RP charrie ^_^ I knew right off the bat that I wanted to make a girl who was violent. There are always stereotypes in movies and books like "the rebel" and "the flirty guy" and "the loudmouth" and stuff, but there's never really "the bloodthirsty girl who likes to attack people." I've just always wanted to RP some no-nonsense, FUCK THAT, come here and say that to my FACE type of person XD Becuase it's never someone I could or would want to be in real life.

I never liked the helpless female type who always needs saving and can't do shit to defend herself and needs a guy to protect her constantly... *cough*Aeris and Kagome *cough* But I guess I can understand Kagome since she's like 15 x.x It's not that I don't like Kagome or anything, I just get annoyed with her a lot and the 832747430932740932 times she's fainted and needs Inuyasha to save her >_<

I guess I made Blaze kind of an anti-hero. She has like a villain's personality and enjoys killing, but she still fights on the good guys' side because there's a moral line she knows not to cross.

I named her Blaze just 'cause I was thinking 'hmm what's a good name for some RAHHH spitfire type of girl' and Blaze just came to mind haha. My brother actually made up her last name. I asked him to help me with a cool last name and that's what he came up with so I just went with it.

Blaze has been through many red and black outfits but after I saw Ani's fanarts of her I was like "!!!! This is Blaze's outfit ^_^" Ani also thought up her hairstyle ^.^ Blaze's eyes are green b/c I think green eyes are the sexiest on the planet XD

Her model obviously came from the girl in Linkin Park's video, "Crawling." Auria put "Crawling" lyrics into Blaze's first banner because they fitted her, so I watched the music video and it was just like... I found Blaze! hahha XD

Blaze's weapons are claws because I thought Wolverine was just the coolest evarrrrr and I still do XD Everytime I watch x-men I'm like "he's sooooo cooool XD" I love to watch him fight. X-men is also why Blaze's GF's name is Deathstrike. Lady Deathstrike is awesomeee ;D

Her history was just like crap I made up. At first it was horribly dramatic and lame and just stupid ~_~ ... but I was a freshman! >_< so I changed stuff around and there ya go. The birth of Blaze Sanaku XD

Sho


Sho was created from one of my fervent wishes to play a male character in a roleplay who was kind of a broken diamond. By broken diamond I mean the kind of person who is in all appearances unbreakable but isn't. Sho is that kind of person; he's really happy with the way his life is, and overall, he's a very strong person, but that doesn't change the fact that something crapped out in his life. Unlike most characters, though, I didn't want Sho to be the angsty "grahhh, my life is shitty!" kinda person. So he's a happy-go-lucky person turned into a lone wolf by circumstance, not by choice.

Miyavi became Sho's model originally because Rica & I wanted to have him in the RP somehow. I mean, come on, he's effin' sekshay. But he's also a really great model because he has such a unique look. I mean...he's tattooed all over the damn place, has piercings like nobody's business, and yet he has these moments of sweet vulnerability, which is shown in a few pictures I've posted. Having Miyavi become Sho's model kinda shows Sho's dual nature: he's a badass fighter, but at the same time, he's this sweet guy.

His history was something I really enjoyed writing. There wasn't really anything that inspired his background story, but I knew that I wanted Sho to have a selfish reason for joining the mission. I mean, I guess he has the Seifer Almasy complex: he's got a romantic dream to fulfill. I wanted something really big to separate Sho from everyone else, so I settled for having Jericho and Sho being married. Of course it was only reasonable that Sho be married to a SeeD, because a soldier's life isn't stationary enough for a normal civilian spouse (see Laguna Loire), and when everything came together, it just tied up nicely.

Sho's fighting style came purely from watching Miyavi's beautiful body; he's very physical and in tune with his body, and I knew it'd be a perfect for martial arts. His Guardian Force, Zephyr, had no real inspiration, but I just didn't want a GF who kept mouthing off all the bloody time.

Sho's surname is, of course, Miyavi, because it's the best name evarrrrr, and Sho came from a Japanese rapper I really like. (He's hot, too!)

My reason for making Stardie is similar to Ash's reasons too XD I wanted to make an angry character who has attitude problems because I can never be that someone XD

I was really drawn into pink by then and short spiky hair so that's why I made her hair like that. You know, at first, I really thought of making her hair naturally-born pink x.x But then, I realized how tardish that was cuz there weren't no pink-haired people in the game just silver>_< So I just made it look like she dyed it XD I guess it worked in her transformation anyway.

When I saw Rachael Leigh Cook's face and figure, I KNEW she was perfect for Stardie XD It was cuz she looked fragile but could be really edgy hahaha I even found several pics of Rachael that looked 98% Stardie-ish (including her outfit), so I was like " THIS IS MEANT TO BE!" LMAO!! XD

Her history was crap. ABSOLUTE CRAP. X.X I don't even want to talk about that cuz I would cringe LOL! >_< Her bow Ciceronian was based on Greek mythology, I thought it sounded really cool so I went with it. ^.^ I've always wanted to be a sharpshooter so I made her like a sniper-type SeeD. Her GF's name Diwata means "Fairy" in Filipino language XD I loved that word so I named her that.

Hmm...what else XD Anyway, I think Stardie's character had grown o.o LMAO XD It's not apparent, but it's true! It's weird saying that but after playing her for a long while now, I think characters' personalities do evolve somehow XD

Ahhh about her name! STARDUST INFINITY X.X I named her that mainly cuz it sounded good and I love the stars LOL I was TOO preppy back then >.< I know I'm preppy now, but back then was just TOO preppy hahah =_= I even put a glittery star tattoo on her cheek but I removed that when I edited her bio XD

Before anything- the personality, the name, anything... I knew I wanted to RP Billie Joe. LOL XD I knew he was gonna be my next charrie cuz I had the hugest celeb crush on him ;D

So when the Opps were formed, I was originally gonna have Deo just be some guy, but then Auria suggested that it would be cool if Blaze had a brother and I was like BJ kinda does look like he could be Katelyn's brother, I'll go with that!

His name took me forever. I had such a hard time finding it. I know one person with the nickname Deo and I thought it was fun to say went with that. His full name was originally going to be Amadeo since the guy I know's real name is Amadeo, but Diego is a much much more awesomer and sexier name >D

His weapons are bombs/grenades b/c Green Day's logo is that hand holding the heart grenade thing XD

Okay.. Deo's personality. XD Unlike Blaze, I wanted to incorporate some of myself into Deo, so I chose laziness. Of course, my laziness isn't as extreme as his, but ya know.. close hahahah XD So I started writing about how he doesn't do anything and he doesn't listen to directions and is sleeping all the time but I realized that nobody would want that sort of lame bum on their team. What would somebody like him be doing fighting Adel?

So I made Deo a smartiepants XD I thought that a smart person would be SO much fun to roleplay. People who don't study, who don't do hw yet ace everything in the blink of an eye amaze me. I hate them, yet I'm in awe of them. There's a Deo at every school. That guy who ditches class and seems like he could care less, but he's like a friggen genius. That's seriously like... what I wish I was Imagine how cool that would be XD So yea, that's the kind of guy i tried to make Deo.

Deo is a good cardplayer b/c I was watching a movie in math class about a group of people who were the top of their class at MIT and were able to beat the system of blackjack and win millions of dollars b/c they knew how to use their minds to play to their advantage.

Polaris/Tomoe


To be honest, I made her because I sorta wanted a Mary Sue. >,<;; Feel free to point and hiss, but hey, who hasn't wanted to be awesomely almost-perfect at some point in their life? (Especially when we've screwed up at something royally.)

Early on, when she was still Tomoe, I was just into the whole "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" thing. Blades, honor, integrity, angst...that stuff was gold. And hey, if it sold in the box office, it'd sell as a character, right? Dood, I was so wrong. The rough draft of Tomoe was like, a female Samurai Squall, and it just didn't work at all. I had time to think about it since then, and I guess her character just evolved on its own, but still retained the themes of honor, and living as a warrior. I guess it'll never get old for me. (: Right now, she's more real; she has mood swings and gets pissy and doesn't just stand in one corner with her arms crossed and having interior monologues like there's no tomorrow.

Her original weapon, like I said, was based on the Green Destiny Sword from "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon". The axe that she's currently wielding became a kind of foil for Polaris' personality: she's a smooth, suave sophisticate, a cultured aristocrat, and she happens to be handling a weapon of brute force usually acquainted with savages and the like. I created a pathetic history for her not because I wanted her to be all, "I MUST TAKE REVENGE FOR MY FAMILY'S DISHONOR!" but because I just seriously wanted to screw with her. >,<;; I'm so mean. But it kinda adds a level to her, you know? She's all secure-looking and she's so levelheaded, and she SAYS she knows her family will never be the same, but you know deep inside she's secretly wishing it. And it gives her this permanent air of unluckiness that follows her wherever she goes. And it's funny. Well, in a weird, morbid kinda way...

The model became Kelly Hu because Lucy Liu was too overrated and until X2 came out, almost nobody knew Kelly Hu, and I didn't want an overdone Asian actress to be Polaris. PLUS Kelly has awesome hair. (:

As for names? Tomoe = Japanese for "to my friend", which I guess would kinda be ironic, considering she has like, one friend...and Polaris, because like Rica, I like stars, but I'm particularly interested in Polaris, the final star at the handle of Ursa Minor (or was it Major?), and Sirius, the dog star, and I couldn't very well call her SIRIUS or else we'll have so many Harry Potter puns around here it wouldn't even be funny.
