How about the whole part where Zacke goes nuts driving the car into Esthar and then he thinks he ran over blaze? and then blaze starts screaming at him that he wouldn't care if she died and he gets angry because of how heartless she assumes he is. That was intense! AWWW FRIENDSHIP HUG TIME!!!!
Zacke's eyes widened in horror as Blaze suddenly jumped onto the hood with a loud thud, her claws in his face. She began screaming herself hoarse at once. "SLOW DOWN YOU FUCKING MORON!!! STOP THE CAR!!!"
Zacke's eyesbrows came together in a frown and he readied to swerve the car to throw her off when Wolfe's hand grasped the steering wheel. "Stop the godd*mned car, Mercutio!!" he yelled.
The sound of metal crushing against metal exploded in Zacke's ears as the airbag instantly inflated before him. All around he heard screams and cries and the screeching of brakes. The smell of burned rubber filled his nostrils. He growled in frustration and forced the white plastic balloon out of his face.
He opens the door and stepped out onto the blue road. Panic welled up within him, and his heart raced. His hands trembled slightly as he ran one over his hair and walked around to the front of the car, expecting to see Blaze crushed between the cars.
It was so sudden. First, Wolfe was reaching for the car, and then there was the screeching sound of metal against metal. Wolfe caught a glimpse of Blaze before something took over and he let go of the steering wheel, reaching for her instead. The truck jerked forward, the airbags blew up in his face, and Wolfe tried to shake the sudden stars dancing in front of his eyes.
Beside him, Zacke pushed his own airbag out of his way and forced open the driver's door. Wolfe struggled with his own airbag and turned his attention to the fornt of the truck.
Was Blaze alright....?
Did he manage to grab her arm in time.....?
Alaxzander grunted as his right shoulder slammed into one side of the truck. He shook off the dull pain and made his way over to the dark-haired woman near the window separating the back from the driver's seat. She turned to look at him. "What's going--?!" he demanded authoritatively, but he never finished. Suddenly the truck screeched to a stop and Alaxzander was thrown forward, straight into the raven-haired SeeD.
"Aagh!" Tomoe involuntarily cried out as the man she knew only as Alaxzander slammed into her as the truck came to a sudden and violent stop. She heard a sharp crack behind her just as everything stopped and she and Alaxzander fell down, onto the pile of Ochu tentacles that had spilled from their crates.
Tomoe shook her head slightly and looked down at the green-eyed young man. His attention was focused on his side and Tomoe turned her head, and saw an open wallet lying on the ground. "I--I'm sorry," she said quietly, reaching for the wallet. "Here you--"
Her eyes narrowed as she stared down at the picture in Alaxzander's wallet.
"Excuse me," he said sharply, and the wallet was snatched from her hands. "That would be mine. Could you get off now?"
"Oh....s-sorry." Tomoe rose to her feet and made her back out the truck. The scene shocked her.
"HOLY SHIT!!" Blaze cussed and rolled off the side of the hood, just missing Wolfe's outstretched hand as the truck went into a head on collision with another car. She went rolling a couple of feet before she managed to stop, face down in the gravel.
Ugh.... I think my arm's broken. She gingerly stood up and touched her arm. Nope, not broken. Good. Zacke can live another few minutes. She cracked her neck and shoulders and started limping towards the crash.
Blaze stopped short when she saw Zacke open the door and walk to the front of the car. he ran a hand through his dark hair nervously.
Could he possibly be afraid that I am dead? Like a little car crash could kill me. You'd need a nuke. Blaze laughed. This is fun, maybe I can just walk away right now and leave him feeling guilty.
/Be nice. You could just go over there and punch him/
Blaze hobbled over to Zacke and yelled loud enough to scare him. "HEY!!!! WHO GAVE YOU YOUR DRIVER'S LISCENSE!?!?!?! YOU ARE NEVER... EVER TO DRIVE A CAR WITH ME IN IT AGAIN DO YOU HEAR!? Don't go all looking panicky because I know you wouldn't give a rat's ass if I'd died! hmm.. wonder how long it will take until we're up to our necks in estharian police. Let's count down the milliseconds." She finished snidely.
Let's count down the milliseconds."
"Blaze!" Tomoe ran over. "You okay?"
/Well of course she's okay. Blaze Sanaku is a spawn of hell that can never die./
Tomoe suddenly turned round to Zacke. "And you!" she said furiously. "What the hell were you thinking, driving like that?! Did you want to kill us all?!"
"I WAS GETTING THE MISSION DONE!!" Zacke roared back at the two women. "I'm so fvcking SICK of everyone pussyfooting around!! Do you guys want to get the fvcking Emerald or not?!" he glanced at each of them.
"AND YOU!!" he pointed a finger at Blaze, his eyes filled with hate. "HOW CAN YOU EXPECT ME TO STAY ON THE DAMN ROAD WHEN I'VE GOT YOUR PSYCHOPATHIC ASS FLASHING CLAWS IN MY FACE AND DANCING ON THE HOOD?!?! IT WAS YOUR FAULT WE CRASHED!!!" his breathing was deep and ragged. He turned and swore, grabbing his head with his hands. He kicked the wreckages and turned once more. A crowed was beginning to gather.
"I'm getting out of here. I'm finding the gem and I'm going to have something to show for myself next time we see Xu. And frankly I don't give a flying fvck whether or not you like me. I don't give a flying fvck whether or not you trust me, or even choose to accompany me. But don't," he stepped forward toward Blaze. "don't tell me that I was acting. I was scared that you were dead, and I'm glad you're not. And if I was in the back of that car and you were driving, I wouldn't have jumped on the hood and tried to kill you." he spat.
He glanced at Tomoe before taking off, weaving his way through cars, toward an alleyway across the street.
/Zacke just calm down, you're being bullheaded and foolish. You don't know where Erple Way is, and even if you did you can't finish this alone./ Iris explained rationally.
I've been alone this entire time.
"I'm alright Tomoe." Blaze said huffily, ignoring her raw, bloody legs. She watched as Zacke stormed away.
"OH SO THE REASON YOU STARTED THINKING YOU WERE A RACECAR DRIVER WAS FOR THE BENEFIT OF GETTING A JEWEL?!?!!" Blaze screamed at Zacke's back, realizing that giving away too much information with a crowd around was a bad thing. "YOU THOUGHT DRIVING LIKE A MADMAN AND ATTRACTING ATTENTION OF ALL OF ESTHAR WAS A GOOD IDEA?!?! WHY IS THAT A GOOD IDEA?!?! WHY!?! I WAS TRYING TO STOP YOU YOU FREAK, AND THE ONLY REASON I DECIDED TO ACCOMPANY YOU IS BECAUSE REE--" She stopped and quickly changed the subject.
"GET THE FUVCK AWAY. FVCK OFF FVCK OFF!!!" She screamed at the crowd that was gathering.
"Miss..." A man said hesitantly, "Did you need any hel-"
"NO I DONT NEED HELP! GO AWAY YOU IDIOT, ALL OF YOU!" Blaze threatened. A few of the people backed away from the maniac.
"Just let Zacke go. We don't need him." Blaze sneered at the others and was silent.
/Go thank Wolfe for trying to save your life./
Blaze ignored Deathstrike.
Zacke wheeled around. "REESE WHAT, BLAZE?!?! REESE WHAT?!?! WHY DON'T YOU TAKE THE LIBERTY OF TELLING US ALL BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING AGAINST HIM AND APPRENTLY WE'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO BE TOLD ABOUT IT."
Zacke laughed. "And what's this about not needing me?! I've BEEN this team up until now, Miss High and Mighty. Don't bash my ideas when yours are NONEXISTENT. Without me, none of you would BE this far. So FUCK you." he gave an sickeningly sweet smile and turned again to leave.
Fuck you.... he said fuck you... No.. I won't.. I won't...go off
"I have something against EVERYBODY, mr. "i AM the team." My nonexistant ideas are a hell of a lot better than your 'lets get everyone killed' idea. We all agreed on your idea and went along with it because we assumed you would drive into Esthar like a sane, normal person. Not like a fucking asshole who wants to kill everyone in sight, you ignoramus." Blaze retorted as Zacke turned and walked off once again. She realized a moment later that she had just described herself.
"Go ahead!" She sneered to his back. "Run away, you know you want to. Oh.. I'm sorry you think you're better than us so you feel like leaving out of anger? Well guess what. I am the essence of anger and I haven't left yet. I must be a hell of a lot stronger than you if I've lasted longer. I truely had no idea how weak men were until you came along. Thanks for reminding exactly why I hate your kind."
Zacke turned again.
/JUST IGNORE HER!!/ Iris screamed.
"Hell of a lot stronger than me?!" Zacke took a few steps towards Blaze. "Then why don't you act like it?! What the fvck Blaze you socked me in the back of the head, then tried to stab me with your little wrist forks. Am I supposed to want to be around you now?!"
Sirens sounded in the distance. Zacke glanced at where they came from briefly, then looked back to Blaze. He sighed. "They're going to catch us if we don't get out of here." he glanced around at Tomoe and Wolfe, then back to Blaze again. "You guys have the right to hate me, but I'm more concerned with those sirens than this arguement. We have to get out of here, now. Blaze, since you're just bursting with ideas, where would you suggest we go?" Zacke asked pointedly.
*bows in reverence to this supreme display of writing/storytelling*
Reading that was like reading a good book. And to everyone who wrote for Waverly, BIG TIME kudos. You guys know her as well as I do XD
And the part about Van crying and being scared, and then the Opps kinda hiding... omfg LOVED IT. It's so realistic! Gahh, I seriously am floored by that whole segment, it's just amazingly done you guys.
Other than that scene, I would like to nominate Advelo for this category. Advelo was pretty intense...
I guess it's not a REALLY intense moment, but I think it's intense in its own way... haha
Stardust drew Ciceronian right after Rayden's great spider dissipated. It actually just did half of their problems away. What caught her off guard was when Blaze blurted something that Stardust had no idea she knew. Waverly was Reese's...girlfriend? How come, all of a sudden, everything started to sound so unbelievable? The furious look pasted on her face became much fiercer as she watched Waverly point the gun to her, incessantly babbling on and on. Stardust was beginning to understand now--the reason why Reese acted like he did, and the words he used to tell her the last time she saw him smile. They were sitting ducks back then at FH. Reese saved their lives when he left that night. She never doubted that there was good in him, just like he did with her. And now, thanks to this woman, he would never know how much his sacrifice was worth. This woman just took everything from him--everything.
Her fist clenched tightly. She'll pay for this.
Waverly, you really messed up this time.
Waverly: Ohhh, I'm shivering in my boots. *rolly eyes* Bring it, you pink-headed tramp!! *fires gun into the air and laughs madly*
I find it ironic that you toss around words like "whore" and "tramp," when you're the only chick in this RP with multiple relationships and sexual encounters. -_-
I HAVE TO NOMINATE the Polaris-Zacke reunion.... INTENSE!!
"‘Shocked’ had to be, quite possibly, the understatement of the year, in regards to how she felt. She stared at Zacke and didn’t really see him, not sure whether to be angry that he—or grateful that he told her. There were feelings again, emotions that confused her, and it was almost like getting hit with a Confuse spell, to be perfectly honest, and—
“Oh.” Her brain couldn’t seem to find any vocabulary other than, “Oh. I—” She looked at him and didn’t know what to think—in fact she couldn’t think at all. Everything was a whirl of removed from the mission and it kinda made me worry. A lot and I cared about you. He cared. He did it because he cared?
He…kept her away from the fight because he cared?
She left her past behind, and left behind any chance of family behind…because he cared?
He cared. Past tense. He cared. Did he care now? Was that why he was telling her? Was it guilt? Was it caring? It wasn’t caring—she felt helpless just then, “I didn’t want you to get hurt.” There had been no hurt, just a bruised ego, and now—it hurt now, her whole life changed because someone cared about her, she changed because he cared.
She thought maybe that she wanted to hit him, and she stepped forward to punch him—Hyne, that would’ve felt good—except it was pointless and useless and—
—and she was tired. She looked at him, almost panicked, vaguely helpless and lost and disbelieving, and felt exhausted.
“I’m—I have to go,” she said, the words tumbling out in a breathless sort of rush, looking away from him and feeling dizzy. “I need—thank you—I just—I have to go.” She turned away from him and made her way to the dormitories, away from him, away from Zacke Mercutio and his honesty and his caring."
“I’m—I have to go,” the words spilled out, her eyes looking anywhere but him. Emotions flashed in her eyes, too fast for him to read, and for the first time since they'd been reunited, he thought he caught a glimpse of the Sephirot girl he used to know. “I need—thank you—I just—I have to go.”
She wheeled around and began walking away from him quickly. He felt himself involuntarily follow her for a few steps, his lips parted as if he might speak out. But his voice was dead in his throat, and he slowed to a halt. Tomoe... He shut his mouth and watched her walk away, guilt searing through him. He wanted to call her back, or follow her, he wanted to make her understand that all of his intentions were good, make her see everything the way he wanted her to... he was sorry--he was only trying to protect her....
I had... no right. he thought, trying to accept it. No right.
He stood and helplessly watched her follow the circular path around the central elevator and out of his sight. He had thought she might be mad at him. She might say something harsh, maybe even hit him or something. But he hadn't expected her to withdraw from him like that. It hurt--not because it wasn't deserved, or because she was in any way mean about it, just because...
Of all people... her.
His chest became leaden with guilt and regret, and he turned his body and leaned against the railing next to him, staring down at his shoes and losing himself in his thoughts. What now? The mission was over. Sure, there was the Ball, but... Leave her alone. he told himself. You've caused enough damage. Just back off.
He sighed, for what seemed like the hundredth time today.
Back off? He couldn't.
He knew he wouldn't forgive himself until she did.
He pushed himself away from the railing, heading toward his own dormitory.
Such GREAT writing!!! *tears up and dabs eyes* I'm in the presence of WRITING GODS HERE!!!!! *bawls*
