Plot: (So I thought of this when the ST post mentioned that Dotna had many allies in Esthar). Considering that the Ridean family is heavily linked in Estherian politics, perhaps their father has either been a) forced to, or b) decided to : aid Dotna in order to secure his family's security.. Just an idea. ST's decide whatever you want!

Time Frame (if any): Could be brewing from the past, when Gemma and Jax were already at Garden until sometime in the future?

I don't think Al has seen this post yet, but I feel so confident she will approve, that I'm going to say we can definitely work this in. I absolutely love it Mya.

If you are willing to give us that kind of freedom with the Ridean parents, we would certainly delight in conjuring up ebil and intriguing plot twists for them. XD And it would be oh so fun to bring some trauma into Gemma and Jax's lives. I already have ideas for directions we could take this.

I seriously can't wait 'til Al sees this. I think she'll love it.

THANK YOU FOR SUGGESTING! This is exactly what this area is for. It's stuff like this that's going to make the plot so much better than if it were 100% solely up to me and Al.

Edit: The only thing we need from you is to know how much involvement you want in deciding everything. If you want us to take this idea of yours into our hands and develop it ourselves, we can do that. Or you can work WITH us as we develop the idea into something that will eventually fit into the storyline. How much you'll know is all up to you, really.

Anyways, in term of my "involvement", I can help you and Al out in fleshing out the relationship and history between Gemma and jax and their parents...as to what actually happens later, if you don't mind the work, I actually prefer that you and Al decide on what happens so that my charries are more caught off guard!

For right now, just give us as much info about the Ridean family as you can, especially the parents and the father's role in Estharian politics. And like you said, the nature and history of their relationships to Gemma and Jax, as well as the nature and history of their marriage relationship. Anything you think is significant tell us! You can either post it here, or if you want to keep things private, message one/both of us.

Actually, if doing that seems too daunting or vague, me and Al can probably compile a list of questions for you to answer or something like that.

So anyway, you develop this family and give them whatever kind of history and roles you want, and me and Al will take what you give us and try to twist it around >D *rubs hands ebilly*


And you know... I just thought of this. At the SeeD Ball, Brooke mentioned to Gemma that their fathers had gone on some cruise or business trip or something together, right? Well, Brooke's father is an ambassador of Esthar, and it is known that he had some role in the restoration of the Lunatic Pandora and the experimentation with Adel's body (which eventually brought her back to life.) Also, his son (Brooke's brother) has a couple of shady contacts -- people who are rumored to be connected with DotNA. And in that way, he is rumored to be connected with DotNA as well.

So really, Gemma's father can be connected to DotNA through Brooke's, if you want to look at things that way.

So I know its partly my fault for not giving your guys any back ground info but I was just wondering if you guys were still planning on incorporating this subplot? Because I recently discovered a partly written "history" I wrote waaaayyyy back but never finished. If you guys still want it I'll PM it over. But seeing that we've sorta moved past it for awhile, I'm totally fine if we just forget about it.

Oh, PM anything you've got! I still totally plan on using the Ridean parents as a nice dramatic plot device in one way or another >D Haha it just takes a while to work major things in because the plot moves sooo slooooow. >.<
