Aur~
Zacke stared at the ground, deep in thought, when he heard the faint rumbling sound of what must be an airship engine.
He looked up, and sure enough, found the source to be a particularly large airship, flying unusually low. He stood up and used his hand as a visor to block sunrays, hoping to get a better look.
It looked to be an Esthar make, and definitely owned by someone with an impressive amount of gil in their pockets.
Am I seeing things, or is that thing getting closer and closer to the ground?
/You are not seeing things./
The 'rumbling' soon grew to more of a roar as the airship descended to what couldn't be higher than three hundred feet from the ground.
It veered off to the right, getting closer to the gates of Timber, which were maybe two thousand feet from where he stood. It finally touched land, and even at this distance, the thing looked enormous. Zacke gave a nervous glance around at the team, who watched also.
A side door opened. A handful of Estharian soldiers filed out, and formed two parallel rows, one on each side of the door.
What Zacke next saw made his breath catch in his throat. A large person clad in a pinkish color, with blonde hair, and what looked to be horns stepped out of the airship.
"Adel?!" Zacke said disbelievingly. The soldiers began moving in unison toward the gate, Adel in the middle of them all.
