Your Character's Dorm Room....

Ani, Bun and I were talking in chat tonight and we had the idea that maybe we should all design our characters dorm rooms back at the garden.

So I thought maybe we could all post pictures of what our characters might have in their room, or something like that. . Could be really awesome.

Well, I'll describe Polaris' room first. It'll be really simple, since most standard SeeD-issue rooms are already white, so Polaris won't really have a problem with the color of the walls or anything, but she'll put in her own furniture to make it cozier for her. She'll have a corner room, with white walls, and she'll have a ceiling fan-slash-light fixture put up on the ceiling. All of her furniture will be made of wood, and not metal, because she likes things to match and be in order. The only colors she'll use in her room would probably be browns and golds, with plenty of white tones. Here's a picture of her room:

Just take out that canopy-thing that's hanging above her bed and replace the wood panel ceiling with a flat white ceiling and that's a pretty good idea of what Polaris' room looks like. As you can see, everything is streamlined because Polaris has a very minimalist, sophisticated style.


The gilded picture that hangs above her bed showcases an oil painting of her mother, Sesylia (pronounced like Cecilia), and the windows on the opposite side of the door (not seen in the picture) will have simple white curtains covering them. The quilt on the bed will be very wide, wide enough to hang over the sides and nearly touch the floor. The top of the dresser is going to contain two or three picture frames, one of which will be a picture of Polaris posing with her three brothers, the other(s) of candid shots of her brothers. Her closet, the teak door next to the open door, will have double-doors instead of a single, and bathroom is right on.

WOW! How did you manage to find Pol's room so fast! You're too awesome possum! Hahaha Polaris's room fits her! XD I LIKE IT!! It looks so comfy. *_* She has sentimental stuffs of her family in her room. That's just like her.

After an eternity of searching, I finally found Stardust's room XD It's not gonna be as flashy since she really doesn't give a darn about her own room. =_=



Stardust likes blue, so you can figure she'd atleast sleep in some blue blankets. LOL Minus the tulips (because Hyne knows, noone will give a crap to give any flowers to her) and the wooden cabinet, everything in the room is accurate. Even the view outside XD You can say that's Balamb Sea and a white part of Garden's exterior. Stardust likes to sit on her little stool sometimes and glance at the view to space out. XD

She is pretty messy sometimes, it's her habit to just throw her old clothes in the bed rather than the laundry chute whenever she changes clothings. =_=

Oh, and, Stardust cannot live without these too.

It's her workout thing and it's a complete set LOL So the next time someone walks in her room, be careful to not step/kick one of these accidentally. She let them all scattered in her floor somewhere.

Hadrian's is so hard. >.< Here's a raw pic of a part of his room. His walls are painted gray. He has a thing for bass (he's gotta have XD), so a string instrument definitely has to go there. There's some magazine too about who-knows-what x.x

That's about it for him. He has an iron chest at the back of his closet and he uses that to store the stuffs he used to get from his parents. He has a lot of stuffs in there.

While that's being pondered, I shall now describe Sho's room.


Sho is an unnaturally neat guy. This may have to do with the fact that he is a father and has realized that messy little boys are NOT charming (ahem, baby Jericho!). So he takes care of his room because he's gotten used to being clean since he's a father and all. *cue sounds of affection from random girls*

Right, anyway, here's a candid shot of a corner of his room:

As you can see, Sho has a very sparse, neat room. His couch doubles as a bed, and there's a rollout bed hidden beneath it (just in case of guests!) and his bestuffs are blue. The floor is hardwood in case of spills and his furniture---consisting of that chair you see in the pic, and the chair at his desk---is low to the ground. Everything is kid-friendly on the off chance Sho might bring Jericho to Garden one of these days to just hang out...although I don't know why he'd do that. His desk (it's low to the ground, custom-made) is facing his bed, right across the room, and it's wood polished to a glossy finish, and it's the only messy thing in the whole dorm. The top is covered with Timber Maniacs magazines (he's a collector; figures), there's a large box of body jewelry and chains, and this huge pink lamp. The top right drawer is almost always halfway open; inside is his collection of pictures of Jericho and Celeste and himself---narcissistic freak!---along with various printouts of pictures he's taken with his digital camera. The door is on the wall facing opposite the glass window, and next to the bed his his closet. His bathroom door is next to the dresser. The main color scheme of Sho's room is seafoam green (like the walls) and sky blue.

[Edit] The room looks cramped in the picture, but it's actually quite roomy.

Ok, Gemma's turn first.



Gemma loves the feeling of coming home to a room flooded in sunlight. Crisp, white walls, accompanied by fresh green decor (Gemma's favorite color) help her feel relaxed and at ease after a day's worth of training. Always a little girly, she tries to fill her room with flowers and plants as much as possible.

Opposite from the bed, there is a tall bookshelf (in the similar style as her other furniture) filled with tons of books. In the adjacent corner, there is a medium-sized papasan chair. The closet, of course, is where she keep her flail, carefully locked up in a case.



Gemma is extremely tidy, keeping few "knick-knack" items on her bureau or table, so that she doesn't clutter the few free areas of her room. The only momento she keeps present is a picture of her whole family and herself at their home in Esthar.


The final touch is a small glass bowl of orange peels that she keeps on her bureau. Free room spray.

All righty, I made a mock up of Stella's room in Sims 2, so I am just going to post some screen shots. I might take some close ups of some of the stuff in her room later, if I feel like it ^_^.

First this is her bedroom, of course since its the Garden it has almost one entire wall of windows which she has light gauze curtains hanging over to give her some privacy. It's a larger room then some might have due to her claustrophobia. All done in light colors with mirrors to make the room seem larger. She also likes candles and fresh flowers.




Her bathroom is also large and decorated all in pink.
