His face had been blank--the only way she knew how to describe it. He was probably bored with her attempt at conversation. Which was perhaps why the .01 second transitioning of his face from blank to wicked shouldn't have been such a surprise. But the wicked smirk on his face and the question he posed sent her heart accelerating wildly and a full-on flush that spread across her cheeks and beyond.
"I..I didn't know you no...no...noticed." She fumbled with her hands and her gaze darted from his face to look at her hands trying to calm her heartbeat. It was futile. "I...didn't think I should let you waititwouldberude." Damn it compose yourself, woman."I wasn't trying to show anything. I thought it would be a...a.....distraction if I...."
She couldn't continue. It was like a cotton ball had been stuffed into her mouth and her face felt uncomfortably hot. She tried to peek at him again, his smirk was still intact. He was definitely enjoying her reaction too much.
"You..why did you act like you didn't notice then bring it up again?" Her mouth started to pout a little. Was he playing with her?
Everyone knows they will die...but they still live.
No amount of consideration could suppress the grin on Lawric's face, nor the slight laugh that followed. Her deep blush, the stammering and stuttering... she couldn't even keep her eyes on him. The whole reaction was absolutely priceless, and he somewhat prided himself on it.
"You..why did you act like you didn't notice then bring it up again?" she said, glancing his way. The pout on her lips actually made him feel just a little bit of guilt.
"Ahh -- because I'm not as charming as you think?" He offered, brushing off the guilt. She's not really upset... He reached up and tucked a lock of her damp hair behind her ear, his amused grin broadening. "Come on Jun, you can't tease me and then expect me not to call you on it." He watched her fondly. "I'm sorry, did I embarrass you?"
He obviously had, but he wasn't sorry for it. Seeing her this flustered over such a trivial thing was sexy as hell.
dood Lawric is pissing me off -_- he's such a guy.

Her lips became even poutier at his suggestion that she wasn't really upset. He actually called it teasing!
"I did not tease!" If you're talking about tease there's a big one sitting right next to me!She said huffily. And he was wrong. Yet right at the same time. He was still charming, that little tuck of her hair had caused her heart to start racing again even amidst all the indignant denial. And if it had been any other guy suggesting the same things to her she would've thrown in out without hesitation. So she wasn't that upset after all. The thought that she wasn't nearly as upset as she should've been by the thought that he thought she was teasing him made that blush regain its ferocity again. When would her blush ever stop giving her away?
"If I wanted to tease you..." She mumbled, a little shyly her voice not much louder than a whisper. "...it wouldn't be just that."
Oh Hyne I can't believe I just said that.
Everyone knows they will die...but they still live.
"Well, well, well, is that so?" He shot back at her, his grin only becoming more devilish. "Those are pretty bold words for someone so prim and proper." He eyed her skeptically. "So bold, in fact, that I'm inclined to believe this pretty little someone is bluffing."
He reclined into the back of the couch, placing his hands behind his head and bringing his feet up to plant them down on the surface of the coffee table in front of them.
"If that wasn't you being a tease, why don't you go ahead and show me what is?"
He had baited her, with that challenge in his eyes. Jun couldn't take any challenge lying down, it was in a competitive streak in her that had compelled her to excel at everything she undertook .Call her perfectionist or whatever but she wasn't the slightest bit apologetic about it.
She also never stopped to think the consequences of rising to this challenge. She only wanted to wipe that grin off his face. Her initial shyness and decorum had vanished when he started goading her.
"I could've answered the door clad in just a towel." Her voice was bold now, fueled by a sudden impulse to show him she wasn't so prim and proper after all. "Or if you want a better demonstration of teasing..." She turned, got up on her knees on the couch and leaned across him placing a hand on his lap. Bending her head so that her lips were directly across from his she flicked out her tongue and slowly drew them across his lips, then started to lower back down to her original position on her knees.
The impact of her actions hit her full in the head and she turned away quickly trying to conceal her reddened face.

*puts face in hands and refuses to watch what Law does next*
Coming here tonight definitely had not been a bad idea.
Lawric felt a rush of adrenaline when she raised to her knees and advanced, placing her hand down on his thigh and bending seductively low in front of him. Holy -- His gaze raised from her chest (which, in all fairness, was right in front of him) to her eyes, and without another moment of hesitation she moved her mouth to his and ran her tongue across and slightly between his parted lips.
It drove him absolutely insane.
She blushed and started to push herself back, but he grabbed hold of her wrist and stopped her from moving far. He had to make her aware of the disaster she was causing in his pants. The urge was overwhelming. He planted his free hand against the side of her hip and pulled her back toward him, using strength to bring her from her knees down into his lap whether she liked it or not. He could barely contain a groan of pleasure at the feel of the sudden impact of her weight.
"Cute move," he murmured through his smirk, now placing both hands on her hips and using that leverage to position her and hold her there. He leaned closer and brushed his lips against her collarbone, breathing in her sweet and feminine smell. "Do you really want to stop there... ?" It was a throaty whisper. He pulled back, looked up and met eyes with her, hanging onto that wicked little smirk he wore at the start of all this. He was still trying to be naughty and challenging, but it was becoming harder to mask his real desire. He hadn't expected things to move this quickly, but if she was game...
She thought she had retreated to relative safety after turning away but she had thought wrong. He pulled her into his lap and brought his lips to her collarbone pushing her heart to pump so hard against its chest as if it was straining to break free from its chambers. She could feel the strength of his arms holding her against him. She felt like pulling away, it was happening too soon she wasn't ready for this. But the look in his eyes held her still, the same wickedness in them that had spurred her to make that first move. And in all honesty the same look had sent her heart racing, it wasn't just the physical closeness of him being the culprit. It made her daring, unlike herself. And this "shadow Jun" was jostling the old meek Jun aside with a kick in the butt.
She leaned closer to him, that same masculine smell that she had noticed he carried the very first time they spoke making her giddy and intoxicated with him.
She hooked her arms around his neck and pressed her lips to his administering slow sucking motions on his upper lip, reveling in his taste.
She pulled away and meeting his eyes with intensity that darkened hers.
"I don't know. I guess we'll have to find out." She whispered blowing breath upon his lips.

Lawric's heart was racing at the prospect of what could happen between them tonight, and she wasn't letting it slow down. The kiss she gave him was electrifying, and her eyes were so naughty and suggestive that he had a fleeting primal urge to flip her onto her back and take her right here on the couch.
"I don't know. I guess we'll have to find out."
Her words were torturingly vague. Find out, huh? He didn't want to 'find out,' he wanted to decide. Now. He pulled his shirt off over his head, dropped it onto the couch beside them, and not half a second passed before he placed a hand at the nape of her neck and brought his mouth against hers again. It was by no means a sweet or romantic kiss, he pushed his tongue into her mouth and tasted her. At this point, he figured it was safe to abandon regard for her limits. If she had limits, she obviously wasn't enforcing them, and he was fine by that. His free hand snaked its way beneath her shirt and up her back as his lips worked against hers. His hand stopped on the hook of her bra. Come on, he thought, working at unhooking it with the one hand.
It released. His hand deftly slid beneath the slackened strap and moved around her side from there. He stopped with his long grip positioned at the side of her ribcage, his thumb just beneath her breast, and pulled away from the kiss to move his mouth down to her neck. "Should I lock the door?" he murmured against her skin in between kisses.
Her eyes widened at the swiftness he had taken off his shirt, her brain trying to process some uneasiness at the back of her mind but losing to the adrenaline rush and frantic thrashing of her heart, her breaths short and shallow. The kiss he gave her was urgent, needing, and his tongue pushed into her mouth licking on the insides as if trying to devour her. The skin on her back tingled at the feel of his large hand, her spine arching against it and she barely noticed him unhooking the straps of her bra until the same hand came to rest beneath her chest. The feel of his mouth against her neck brought out a small sound of pleasure that sounded foreign in her own ears, her breath exchanging between in and outs in short spurts.
But that sound from her own mouth was what had brought her mind back from its intoxicated state. She sounded alien to herself. Like a wild wanton woman had possessed her and she suddenly found herself in a suggestive position seconds away from doing something she was not mentally prepared for.
"Should I lock the door?" Lawric murmured against her neck.
She grappled with the wild woman who was forcing against her restraint. She couldn't do this. Fear began to rise from within, and she allowed it to grow.
"No Lawric." She tried to push his hands away, tried to slip out of their grasp but they only brushed against her skin more. "I'm not ready for this." She was trembling, her eyes scared and round almost on the verge of crying. "I shouldn't have started anything I'm sorry I'm sorry."
Lawric's hand froze. He moved his mouth away from her neck and pulled back far enough to look up and meet her gaze, frowning in confusion. Her eyes were wide and filled with tears. Suddenly she was trembling within his grasp, and he slipped his hand out of her shirt instantly.
'I shouldn't have started anything I'm sorry I'm sorry.'
His frown of confusion became a frown of concern, and all of the dirty male thoughts he'd been having were suddenly thrown from his mind, replaced by guilt. Had he done something wrong? The look of fear in her eyes told him he had definitely overstepped a boundary. Damnit. She made him feel like she was alright with everything. He really thought she was. He wouldn't have gone so far if...
"Wait, Jun... " He found each of her hands with his and took hold of them both. She was still trembling, he could feel it. Nice. he told himself. Good job, prick. He looked up at her, struggling a bit to keep her tearful gaze. "You shouldn't be sorry. I'm sorry. I started this. I shouldn't have... " His voice was quiet. He looked away. "I should have gone earlier. It's time for me to go."
He tried, but he couldn't look at her eyes again. He waited for her to move from his lap.
Jun moved away from him sitting down on the couch her head kept low. The tears started dropping now falling in her lap. She led him on and now she stopped him. He was being a gentleman about it and apologising for something that was none of his fault.
"I didn't mean to..." She couldn't continue. What would she say? She didn't mean to be a tease? She was lucky he didn't think she had toyed with him...at least he didn't act that way. "It isn't your fault..at all. I shouldn't have gotten carried away...it's not something I can handle right now. I'm ashamed of myself."
Everyone knows they will die...but they still live.
"It's... okay." He spoke quietly. He grabbed his shirt distractedly, his eyes everywhere but on her. "I understand. It's not your fault." He pulled it on over his head and yanked it down, positioning it correctly.
He came to his feet and glanced around for an awkward moment. After realizing he didn't know what exactly he was looking for, he turned to leave, but when he let his eyes briefly travel to her, what he saw stopped him in the motion. She was crying into her lap. Freely. Jun... He couldn't understand why she should be crying, unless it was because she was upset over what he'd done. That thought sent a wave of guilt against him that made getting out of this room seem even more desirable than it already was. He felt ashamed, frustrated, confused, and he just wanted to get away from the situation entirely. But she looked so pitiful there, he couldn't just walk out with her like this...
"Hey... " His voice was soft. He turned back and sat down on the couch where he had been, turning his body toward her. "Look at me -- why are you crying?" He ducked his head slightly, trying to catch her gaze.
The softness in his voice made her tears come out even more forcefully. He was actually concerned about why she was crying. It was such a sweet gesture that it melted some sort of dam that was holding back a whole reservoir of tears. She suddenly wanted to hug him but held herself back. Oh if it was going to set off another set of complications on top of the disaster she had in her hands she would damn herself to death for it.
"I...I'm upset with myself." She finally managed to choke out amidst the sobbing and sniffing, looking at him timidly. "I like you. A lot. If what happened just now is going to jeopardize what we had...It just distresses me to no end."
Lawric watched her warily, totally lost on what he should be doing right now. She wasn't upset about what happened; rather, she was upset about being upset... ? It made no sense at all to him. She was fine two minutes ago. If she wasn't okay with the situation, why had she been pressing things further? Why hadn't she just been straight about her feelings? He would have respected them.
And now she was getting really emotional over this, and he felt a little bad even though he knew he shouldn't feel bad at all. Why does it matter so much? He wasn't being a prick about it; although he very well could be. But he didn't want to be that guy. Despite all his frustration and discomfort, he was trying to be empathetic. The effort was making no apparent difference. The sound of his voice had only made her cry harder.
"Jun," He frowned slightly, resigning himself to try a little harder. "It's okay. I'm not, like, mad or anything. It's really not that big a deal. You shouldn't cry... " He trailed off, grappling with the urge to comfort her somehow. Maybe touch her shoulder, or smooth her hair... something? He didn't do anything, though. He didn't really feel comfortable about touching her, all things considered. It just didn't feel right. In fact, sitting here watching her cry didn't feel right, either. He'd obviously overstayed his welcome.
"I should... probably go." He came to his feet slowly. "I'm sorry, Jun. I didn't mean for... this. I really came just to talk to you." He shrugged in an almost apologetic way. "If it makes you feel any better, I don't feel so great about it either." He lingered only a moment before he turned for the door.
Jun had to force back her tears and pray that her eyes didn't burst from the pressure she was exerting on them. Her sudden display of emotion was obviously making him uncomfortable, and he was already formulating a swift exit. There was no point in holding him back. Really what else did she have in store for him? Great engaging conversation? The man couldn't stand to be around her. But he was still nice enough to ask after her. He was a nice guy. She shouldn't interpret it for something else.
Jun realised now she must be so boring to him. She couldn't hold his interest in conversation and she had abruptly withdrew from the one thing that probably could like a snivelling coward. And the gap between her expectations and his reaction was unnerving...it was like a bus trying to leap across a break in a highway that was still under construction. She confessed that she liked him and his reaction was...there was no reaction that she could perceive.
So she should just make both their lives easier and cut him loose. He seemed pretty eager to do so anyway.
She grabbed a tissue from the box on the coffee table drying her eyes silently. When she looked up at him her glance was dull and puffy but she managed to force a smile upon her lips.
"I'll be fine." She said trying to inject some cheer in her voice. It probably sounded fake. "You're right...it's late. You need your rest. I shouldn't keep you any longer."
