Terry took the offered hand and stood up scratching his head in embarrassment. He smile his thanks and walked off towards the helicopter following everyone else.
[Yeah, yeah I'm getting up.] Terry wrote.
[Let's go, doesn't seem like anyone else disagrees.]
"You did get the gem, I assume?" Raven said over her shoulder.
[Eeehhh, hehehehe... yeah about that....] read the paper in his hand and a embarrassed blush across his face. He slumped towards the copter feeling a bit down once he realized their situation. Lifting up his head a moment later, a look of confidence was in his eyes.
We're gonna get it back though...

Colum frowned at the mention of his Deathstrike, which was now languishing at the bottom of the ocean.
"I take full responsibility for piloting," he said swiftly as he held out his hand. "I'm Col O'Donahue."
Aly whapped Colum's head lightly. "Col, it wasn't your fault the Deathstrike went down...We all know it was sabotaged," she whispered.
"Alyeena O'Donahue, I'm Colum's sister" she said to Rayven, extending her hand. "We didn't manage to retrieve Suthieal's Sapphire, there was no chance, as we were ambushed. I do, however, have the notes that Marrenfield made on Trinity in my pack."
She reached for her black backpack and fumbled around inside it, before drawing from it the leather-bound journals

Rika attempted to conceal the sneering look that arose when the topic of the gem arose. Unfortunately, she had not been close enough to help prevent the theft, but she would still be left accountable, because she was a part of the team.
What a load of bullshit, she thought with contempt. Now we get to report our miserable failure directly to Xu; it's only the safety of the world that's at stake here.
Reluctantly, she stepped forward, her expression now nothing more than a slight scowl. She turned her face to the ocean, with a softer expression, and searched for any last sign of Gaiea. Seeing nothing but sparkling blue waves, she turned her attention back to the group, secretly hoping no one had seen her soft expression.

Tomoe stood silently away from the rest of the team, watching. When D'Maltaine had raised the question about the gem, everyone had shared guilty looks, and Liani had scowled. It seems like everyone's on edge, Tomoe thought to herself, hands clasped behind her back. How discouraging to fail the first of three very important missions. Tomoe dropped her gaze from her team members as Valentine--or O'Donahue, if she was calling herself that now, rummaged through Marrenfield's journal.
We'll have to get the gem back. But we don't even know where to start looking. She raised her head, saddening. "And if we chase after the Sapphire, how will we know that the other two gems aren't being hunted down by the sorceress, as well...?"

Tomoe sighed softly and rejoined the group. There was no use for moping. Besides, her head still hurt.

Colum glanced around the group, and saw the pink-haired Stardust looking a little sad. His conscience hit him, and he decided that it was a good idea to try and see what the problem was.
He squeezed Aly's shoulder, before walking up to Stardust.
"Hey, it's not your fault that we weren't able to get the Sapphire," he said kindly, from behind her. He waited anxiously, as though he was scared she would snap at him. "It's nobody's fault, the gem wasn't even here, I don't think."

Stardust shot Colum a look. She didn't know what he was trying to prove but she wasn't in a mood for daintiness right now. Even if they blame each other here, what done was done. There was nothing she could do about it.
"What do you know?" Cocking him an eyebrow, she turned away and walked over the chopper.

Colum followed her, "I know what it feels like to fail," he said sincerely, "I thought I'd lost my sister forever, when that -bastard- of a man, my father, tried to kill her. Do you know how that feels?"
He shook his head, "I know I don't know much about you, Stardust, but, you're hiding a sad past, aren't you?" he said kindly.

Stardust stopped in her tracks and looked back at him. This was getting personal and she didn't like it.
"Hey, back off!" Her purple blue eyes flared. "I don't care about you so mind your own business." she hissed

Colum threw up his hands in self defense. "Hey, I didn't mean it like that, Stardust," he said, in the same calm tone, "I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories or anything."
He frowned. All I did was try and be nice to her, he thought, Hyne knows it's not easy.
"I'm sorry if I offended you," he continued, before walking towards the door of the chopper and sliding it open. "Ladies first," he said with a cute smile.

Blaze froze and clenched her jaw staring at Colum.
that ingrate, doesn't he know that others around him also had a bad past? He knows this of Stardust, yet he blatantly goes out and tells her that he knows!?! men..... I know all their tricks. I've only experienced every single one that has been pulled on me.
"Ladies first!" Colum grinned cheerfully.
Look at him, making generalizations that ladies need to get in the copter first. WELL WE FRICKING OWN YOUR SAD LITTLE MALE RACE! Blaze thought furiously. It was taking her all of the restraint she had not to yell at Stardust about how idiotic she was for taking this from Colum. As much as Blaze hated Stardust, she didn't want to see her with the likes of HIM.
"I’m onto you." Blaze hissed at Colum before getting in the copter. She was furious.

Stardust Infinity stared furiously at Colum as he tried to apologize to her. She was surprised by this guy's actions.
What's wrong with him?
"Ladies first," Colum said with a cute smile. She creased her forehead in perplexity. Whatever was happening inside this guy's head was beyond her comprehension. It was strange.
"Don't bother!" Despite of the fact that Colum opened it for her, she began to head inside.

Terry shakes his head and smirks to himself. Watching his teammates trying to work with each other helped him bring his mood up. He's still worried Gaiea missing... he didn't know where she was but where she was he wished her good luck.
Terry steps into the helicopter and looks out through the window He watches the ocean sway back and forth and how peaceful it looked. So peaceful even from all that has happened, he smiled when he watches some of his other partners come in looking begrudged and upset.
He turns back to the ocean and said goodbye. Hopefully not ever trudging through this place again.
