With her head slightly bowed, Stardust eyed Reese. Yes, he was apologizing. The fact that Reese apologized seemed a little new to her. She just didn't imagine him as the type to do that. She guessed she shouldn't have bothered him when she noticed that he was having a bad day. She could relate.
/Well, are you mad at him?/
No. She was never mad, really.
/Really.../ Diwata said.
Stardust let her eyes fall to the ground and sighed. Her back still hurt. "Forget about it," she finally said. Suppressing the urge to clutch her back, she walked over the rail across Jun. "It's really nothing."

Reese rolled his eyes. "Yeah, right, take that and translate it out of Woman Language and you get 'Leave me alone you ass.hole, I'm not ready to forgive you yet, I still want to be a mean bitch.' " Reese drawled.
A truth he probably wouldn't even admit to himself, he didn't want to know if she'd forgiven him. He didn't want to feel like she had. He chose sarcastic jokes to distance himself from the thought that maybe he had apologized and she had accepted, and that maybe that meant something.

Jun eyed Stardust when the latter approached the opposite side of the rail from her. All through the mini incident between Reese and Stardust, she felt like some kind of unwanted spectator at a private little game. All she could do was stand there like a wooden doll.
Boy did she regret delivering that special package. Maybe Sapphy was right after all, whenever he scolded her for poking her nose in other people's affairs.
{Of course I'm right. I'm always right.}
"Ahahahah you guys enjoy your lunch. Or not. Throw the burgers away if you don't want them. I think I left something at the restaurant... see you later." Jun said to them nervously.
She hurried down the stairs, making a hastier retreat than she would have if she were to come face to face with a Malboro without any status defense junctioned.
After a bout of breathless sprinting, she finally reached the fish and chip's restaurant, burst in and headed straight for the SeeDs' table.
"Sorry to keep you guys waiting. Are we all set now?" She gasped, her face flushed with exertion.

Tomoe turned to look up at a pink-faced Kuroki. "I don't know," she told the flush-faced young woman, pointing at Gone who was gorging on dessert. "He doesn't look like he wants to leave."

Gone looked up from his dessert, as he felt someone pointing at him. He glanced up and saw that it was Tomoe and not some stranger, that was a good thing. He always thought it gave you bad luck if someone you didn't know pointed at you.
"Nah, love, I'm ready if we're leaving. The food here's just food, not heavenly creations that make your mouth water a mile away. Anyway I want to see if we can find the Master Fisherman. I could ask for some tips on fishing. I never seem to catch anything." Gone chirped looking at the two women.

“What’s your problem?” Stardust wheeled around to face Reese. “Can you stop being an ill-mannered jerk?” she blurted out. She just had to say that to him. He was rude. He was sarcastic. And she couldn’t read him. She would admit, she was offended when he told her to leave him alone but she shouldn’t let that get to her. That was nothing. It should be nothing.
"Ahahahah you guys enjoy your lunch..." said Jun, "Or not. Throw the burgers away if you don't want them. I think I left something at the restaurant... see you later." The midnight-haired SeeD placed the bag of burgers near her and began to leave. Stardust stopped and swiveled her eyes towards Jun who was now making her way down the series of steps, towards the alley.
What's this? Don’t tell me she’s going to slack around again? She should wait here as well!
/My, my...That thoughtful girl is not going to slack around, she’s going to move away from you. For all we know, if you say something more...This young man is going to snap at you, then you at him...then ohhhh..../
“Hey!! W-wait!” Stardust called out to Jun. She didn’t hear any reply. Jun just continued walking until she swerved on the corner. “Tch!”
Stardust bit her lip, vexed. The cessation of her voice made way for the rushing of the waves to be heard. She picked the bag of hamburgers near her. I swear if that airship comes...
She didn’t say anything next, but managed to shoot a glance towards Reese. This was very uncomfortable indeed. Touching the small of her back—the stupid bruise hurt everytime she moved—she decided to just drop it off. She would just watch out for the airship.

Zacke took one last drink from his soda and set it down on the counter.
"Yeah, I think we need to get going." he said, raising an arm into the air slightly. "Uhh, waitress?" The waitress from across the room turned at the call. "We need our bill." he said in as polite a tone as he could muster. She nodded and walked over to the register, then to the group, setting a slip of white paper down before Zacke.
He looked up at her. "Can you charge this to Balamb Garden?"
The waitress sighed, as if charging it was a huge chore. "I.D. please." she said in monotone. He fished in his jacket and pulled out a SeeD identification card, then handed it to her.
"Do you need to see everyones?" he asked, still trying to be polite despite her attitude.
"This'll do." she said, slapping his card back down on the counter and walking away with the bill slip.
"Alright then," Zacke said as she walked away, and stood. "Let's find that fisherman guy, or whatever."
Gradually the group moved from the restuarant to the sidewalk outside.

Reese frowned and mulled over her words silently as Jun made an excuse to leave the two of them. He watched the dark haired SeeD walk away for a few moments, then turned his head to look at Stardust just as she shot him the glare.
What's her problem? I apologized. That should be enough, I mean, she should be grateful I even did THAT much.
He eyed her for a minute or two silently. "You know, you're right. I am an ill-mannered jerk." he stepped up beside her, looking at her face. "And I guess you have the right to call me that. Though I don't think we're very different, you and I, Stardust." he commented calmly.
"Granted, you're prettier than me, so I guess that's why you can get away with being such a bitch most of the time." he said, emphasizing 'bitch' strongly. Perish's laughter immediately filled his mind.

Stardust's mouth partially parted. She eyed Reese. What the hell is saying now? I'm telling him to stop already.
/Okay, Stardust, breathe,you say you're not going to be loud anymore remember? Now's the time to put it to practice./
Stardust glared at him for a while. She wasn't planning to shout at him. He was calm. So would she. This guy....
"I see...I guess I do get away since I'm a bitch." she started, her tone was cold. "But sometimes, bitches can't get away from something too, you know?" She cocked him a brow. "Like eating rocks. Some jerks have their own specialties on things."

He laughed aloud at her comeback. He watched the way her eyebrows came together when she gave him that angry look, the way her chin stuck out slightly.
He looked up at the sky and threw his hands up in a gesture of frustration. "You know what, Stardust? You're right." he looked back down at her. "I eat rocks. I enjoy it. They taste like chicken, did you know? But let me tell you, the best ones are the ones around the railroad tracks." his voiced dripped with sarcasm.
He studied her for a few seconds, staring into her eyes. "It was a simple precaution. I think I was being pretty responsible when I swallowed that rock."
He laughed again and shook his head slightly. "So go on, poke fun, ridicule, all that jazz, I'm done arguing with you." he spat.

He's laughing..?
The angry expression on Stardust's face softened a little when Reese unexpectedly laughed instead of snapping back a mocking retort her way. She struggled to keep a straight face, as if watching Reese's blue eyes dance as he laughed and toyed with her.
"I eat rocks. I enjoy it. They taste like chicken, did you know? But let me tell you, the best ones are the ones around the railroad tracks," said Reese.
"It's not funny," she said. It wasn't supposed to be funny. But somehow, he found it funny.
"It was a simple precaution." Reese continued, sounding a bit more serious. "I think I was being pretty responsible when I swallowed that rock." He laughed at her again, then spat. "So go on, poke fun, ridicule, all that jazz, I'm done arguing with you."
Looking back at him, Stardust wasn't answering. To be honest, she really didn't see Reese as stupid for swallowing that stone. It was just that...
"You started it..." she mumbled afterwards and swung her gaze away from him. She brought Jun's bag on top of the railing and pulled out a burger. "I'm done arguing with you too." She took a bite and glanced ahead for the airship.

"You just have to get the last word, don't you?!" he said, glancing over at her.

Jun shrugged and gazed around for someone who looked like he might know about the Master Fisherman's wheareabouts.
"We should ask someone old enough to be our grandparents."

Gone shrugged his shoulders. "I guess that would be easier than asking everyone with a fishing rod, if they're the Master Fisherman." Gone laughed. "So why don't we start with him?" Gone suggested gesturing to an old man carrying a fishing rod and tackle box in the direction of the docks.
"Yo, old dude, wait up a minute!" Gone shouted, waving his arms in the air. "I got ask you a couple questions! What kind of bait should I use to catch the Balamb fish?"
The old man slowed down enough for them to catch up with him, but didn't stop. And he appeared to be muttering under his breath, but Gone didn't know for sure.

Zacke raised an eyebrow when Gone beckoned the old man. He exhaled and shook his head slightly, scratching the back of his neck. He looked over at Jun.
"Isn't this kind of a waste of time? I mean..." he paused and let out a laugh. "How is an old man going to help us? Why exactly are we looking for this guy? Shouldn't we get out to the landing pad?"

"Yeah, we prolly should." Gone said as he stopped waving his arms.
"But then we'd all be together again and start fighting for the couple hours we still have to kill and there's no mud in FH or jello... And even if it is a pointless waste of time we might have some fun. Or might just get really frustrated with the extra hassle and kick cans of worms off the docks for fun." Gone shrugged as he stopped babbling.
